Welcome to Mindful Monday, a series by The ERS Center for Memory Support and Inclusion (CMSI), an outreach ministry of Episcopal Retirement Services (ERS). CMSI Director, Shannon Braun, shares general information about dementia, communication tips, and brain health strategies for anyone impacted by memory loss.

In this series, Shannon discusses a study by the Cleveland Clinic which researched a link between bacteria in the digestive system and cognitive loss, and what that means for Alzheimer's research.  Also, she shares how regular eye exams may play a crucial role in detecting early signs of Alzheimer's Disease.  Learn more about how other parts of the body are connected to brain health.
