Episcopal Church Home (ECH) in Louisville, Kentucky and Marjorie P. Lee (MPL) in Cincinnati, Ohio, premier senior living communities operated by Episcopal Retirement Services (ERS), have been recognized by U.S. News & World Report with a “Best Nursing Home” designation, highlighting their ongoing commitment to excellence in long-term care.
ECH received the designation for long-term care, recognizing it as one of just two continuing care retirement communities (CCRCs) in the Louisville and Southern Indiana area to achieve this national recognition. For residents and families, this recognition offers an added measure of confidence in the quality, safety, and person-centered approach that shape daily life in ERS communities. For MPL, this honor includes badges verifying excellence in both short-term rehab and long-term care, making it one of only eight CCRCs in the Greater Cincinnati area to earn this distinction.

The U.S. News designations are based on an independent analysis of key quality-of-care measures and performance indicators, including clinical outcomes, resident safety, staffing, and regulatory compliance.
“We’re deeply honored by this recognition,” said Laura Lamb, president and CEO of ERS. “This reflects the dedication, skill, and compassion of our teams, and most importantly, the trust and engagement of our residents and their families.”
This designation builds on recent recognition of ERS communities, which received high resident satisfaction ratings reflecting a strong sense of safety, well-being, and meaningful connections formed through daily interactions with staff.
“These honors are the result of day-to-day care and relationships built between residents and our incredible team members,” said Beverly Edwards, vice president of residential healthcare at ERS. “It’s their commitment and heart that make our communities truly great places to live.”
While national recognition is meaningful, ERS views these honors as one measure within an ongoing commitment to learning, improvement, and responsiveness to resident feedback. Across ERS communities, teams continue to focus on care grounded in national standards and shaped by what matters most to residents, including dignity, respect, and quality of life.
