Episcopal Church Home (ECH), Episcopal Retirement Services’ premier senior living community in Louisville, is celebrating a big win—again! We’re proud to share that ECH has been recognized as a Louisville Top Workplace for the second year in a row by The Courier Journal and Energage. Even more special, both years (2024 and 2025), ECH has been the only senior living community recognized with this honor. This award belongs entirely to our incredible team members. Their passion, innovation, and dedication make ECH a great place to work and live—and being recognized for the second consecutive year makes it twice as nice.
What Makes This Award So Special?
The Top Workplace recognition is especially meaningful because it comes directly from our team members’ feedback. Administered by Energage, the survey measures 24 workplace factors—including pay, benefits, leadership, purpose, direction, meaningfulness, and appreciation. The voices of our ECH team members helped us receive this prestigious recognition, which makes this award not just an honor but a reflection of the culture ECH has built.

A Legacy of Excellence
Episcopal Retirement Services (ERS), which owns and operates ECH, has been named a Cincinnati Top Workplace by The Cincinnati Enquirer and Energage for 16 consecutive years. That same legacy of trust and commitment is alive in Louisville, where the Top Workplace award launched in 2021, and ECH has already been recognized twice—earning the honor in both 2024 and 2025.
In addition, ECH was recently honored with The Courier Journal’s 2025 Community Choice Awards for Best Assisted Living/Senior Living and Best Retirement Community. What makes these recognitions so meaningful is that they all come from the people who know us best. Top Workplaces awards reflect the voices of our team members, while Community Choice Awards are determined by real feedback from residents, families, and the entire Louisville community.
Together, these recognitions affirm that ECH’s impact reaches every part of our community—staff, residents, families, and partners alike.
