Welcome to Mindful Monday, a series by The ERS Center for Memory Support and Inclusion (CMSI), an outreach ministry of Episcopal Retirement Services (ERS). CMSI Director, Shannon Braun, shares general information about dementia, communication tips, and brain health strategies for anyone impacted by memory loss.

In this series, Shannon and a special guest explore winter brain health tips for individuals living with dementia and their care partners.  Deupree Cottages Household Coordinator DD Farmer shares innovative ways for care partners to keep their loved one with dementia active during the cold winter months. Next, Shannon explains how painting, drawing, or other creative activities can reduce stress, boost mood, improve focus, and encourage self-expression—indoor activities perfect for winter.
