Episcopal Church Home was named Louisville’s Best Nursing Home in the ‘Official Community’s Choice Awards,’ recently announced by The Courier-Journal. It means so much to us, because it came from you, the community who voted for us.
Episcopal Church Home is a faith-based community for older adults with more than a century of experience and a reputation for quality care and services provided by compassionate and professional staff dedicated to the health and wellness of our residents. It has served generations of families in the Louisville area and this award reflects the quality of our care.
Quality care in an enriching environment
Our entire reason for being here is to provide a place where older adults can enjoy the highest quality of life possible in a safe, fun, and enriching environment no matter what lifestyle they choose, or the level of assistance they might need.
According to Vice President of Residential Healthcare Beverly Edwards, “We provide great care for our residents here at Episcopal Church Home. Our community becomes our residents’ home, and we want them to be comfortable not just within their surroundings, but also with the individuals who are caring for them,” she said. “Here at Episcopal Church Home, we focus on developing relationships, which is why we introduced the person-centered care model with versatile workers.”
Versatile workers are ECH staff members who help residents not only with their daily care needs, but also help with life-enrichment activities, dining, and housekeeping services. This model helps build deep relationships with residents and helps ensure that residents live life with the care and dignity they deserve, in a place they truly believe is home. It is our sincere desire to help residents live with freedom, choice and purpose in their daily lives.
