October is going to be another great month here at Deupree House.
We kicked the month off with an unforgettable adventure at America’s largest restored Shaker Community in Pleasant Hill, KY. At the Village, we had a chance to see a solo Shaker music performance, take a tour of the community, learn about Shaker beliefs, theology, and agriculture, shop at the craft store which features an extensive selection of fine handmade crafts and gifts, and enjoy an excellent dinner.
Things will only get more exciting from here! Just take a look at a few of the events and activities we have planned over the next few weeks.

Our residents spoke, and we answered! Cyndy, from Cyndy’s Alterations will once again be onsite to provide services by appointment! So residents should stop on by with all their garments that need a seamstress’ touch!
4:30 PM: Art Gallery Opening
Here at Deupree House we recognize that older adults have collected amazing talents and valuable stories throughout their lives, and our residents lived some extraordinary lives before joining our community. And we encourage them to share their experiences whenever they can!
And this month, we’re delighted to announce that Miner Raymond will be opening a new exhibit in our Art Gallery where he will share a few of the many interesting and eclectic works that he has collected over the years.
