Recently, Marjorie P. Lee and Deupree House, premier senior living communities in Hyde Park, operated by Episcopal Retirement Services (ERS), became the only two senior living communities in Greater Cincinnati to receive national recognition from U.S. News & World Report’s 2025 Best Senior Living ratings in both the “Best Independent Living” category and “Best Continuing Care Retirement Community” category. Though other communities in the region were respectfully recognized in related categories, only Marjorie P. Lee and Deupree House received recognition in both of these specific areas.

Both communities earned these prestigious honors based on direct feedback from their residents. The U.S. News ratings are based on key quality-of-life factors, including community safety, caregiving, activities, management, staff, food, value, and more.

“We’re incredibly honored by this recognition, but most of all, we’re deeply grateful to our residents,” said Laura Lamb, President & CEO of ERS. “Their honest, thoughtful feedback is what made this possible. We listen to their voices and perspectives and remain committed to upholding the excellence. Their love for their community and engagement are what make our communities a wonderful place to live—and a meaningful place to work.”

Earlier this year, both communities also received recognition from the Holleran Resident Satisfaction & Engagement Index, a leading provider of resident engagement and satisfaction services, serving more than 350 not-for-profit senior living providers nationwide. The 2025 Holleran resident satisfaction survey results were clear: residents at both Marjorie P. Lee and Deupree House feel a strong sense of trust, safety, and engagement in their communities.

The highest-rated factors for these communities include the following: overall satisfaction, safety and security of grounds, confidence in primary care, long-term confidence, meaningful relationships with staff, management of changes, resident association effectiveness, quality of spiritual services, variety of menu selections, and timely maintenance response.

Notably, the majority of areas rated are in the top 15% of all Holleran-surveyed communities across the country. Given these high marks, ERS’ goal is to maintain this high level of satisfaction and engagement with its residents with a continued focus on listening to residents and responding with care and intention.

“This kind of recognition doesn’t happen by chance,” said Beverly Edwards, Vice President of Residential Healthcare at ERS. “It’s the result of real relationships, built day by day, between residents and the dedicated team members who are proud to support them. We’re deeply grateful to our residents for sharing their experiences—and to our staff, who live out our mission with compassion and excellence.”
