Happy #WellnessWednesday! Today, ERS Wellness Director Chloe Hough shows us Standing Obliques, which work the muscles on the sides of the abdomen. These are like the exercises we did last week, except we do these ones standing.

Oblique muscles are important for a few reasons. Among them:

  • They help you move your body from side to side.
  • They have a significant role in improving your posture and strengthening your lower back.
  • They help your body bend, and help rotate your trunk.
  • Also, they help with your breathing.

You'll need hand-weights or other light objects, such as heavy books or food cans.

Give it a try, and see what you think! Click here to see more exercise demonstrations.

Take time today for exercise — your body, mind & spirit all will feel better. #ERSlife
