Happy #WellnessWednesday!

Today, ERS Wellness Director Chloe Hough shows us 'Side Bends,' which work our obliques, the muscles on the sides of the abdomen.

Oblique muscles are important for a few reasons. Among them:

  • They help you move your body from side to side.
  • They have a significant role in improving your posture and strengthening your lower back.
  • They help your body bend, and help rotate your trunk.
  • Also, they help with your breathing.

You'll need a sturdy chair without wheels and hand-weights or other light objects, such as heavy books or food cans.

Give it a try, and see what you think! Click here to see more exercise demonstrations.

Take time today for exercise — your body, mind & spirit all will feel better. #ERSlife
