Episode 46: Powerful Moments
For our forty-sixth episode, we hear from Shannon Braun, the ERS Center for Memory Support & Inclusion, who talks about a program that's teaching police officers how to better interact with people living with dementia, Alzheimer's disease or Autism, who may wander off. Also, Hannah McCarren, the household coordinator for Memory Care at Marjorie P. Lee, speaks about what stirred her passion for working with senior citizens.
Meanwhile, ERS President and CEO Laura Lamb discusses ERS' mentoring of young professionals, and what they are experiencing through the COVID-19 period. She also reflects upon a book she's been reading, called "The Power of Moments," and how that has impacted some recent ERS accomplishments.
Eighty guests enjoyed the cocktail hour entertainment, dinner, and a very special program at the Timeless Traditions event at Hyde Park Country Club, one of the Gatherings for Good Gala Series. Guests were reminded of the powerful moments we encounter every day as we live, visit, and work at ERS communities.
