Kate and Jim Powers, residents of the Marjorie P. Lee retirement community, survived what Jim calls the one-two punch, of which the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic was only one. In this compelling video, Kate tells how Jim and others provided immense help as she endured the saddest part of her life.

She tells of the loving tenderness she experienced because of other residents and Episcopal Retirement Services team members. Ultimately, it became "a sacred experience," she says.
