Episcopal Retirement Services (ERS), parent company of Louisville’s Episcopal Church Home (ECH) is proud to announce that Beverly Edwards, vice president of residential healthcare, has been selected to serve as board chair of LeadingAge Kentucky, the statewide association representing nonprofit and mission-driven aging services providers. She will take on this role while continuing her leadership at ERS and ECH.

As a respected leader within both LeadingAge Kentucky and LeadingAge National (supporting all U.S. states), Beverly brings decades of experience, thoughtful advocacy, and a deep commitment to person-centered aging services on behalf of older adults across the country and the professionals who serve them. As a Louisville resident, she and her family are proud of their community and her commitment to serving the Commonwealth.

Beverly joined ERS in 2016 and has played a pivotal role in advancing the organization’s residential healthcare operations. She previously served as executive director of ECH, one of ERS’ premier senior living communities, where she helped lead a significant financial turnaround and guided the community through a comprehensive master planning process. Her health administration background and expert leadership led to her promotions to senior executive director and ultimately vice president of residential healthcare.

Though her earlier work was primarily based in Louisville, over the past decade, Beverly has expanded her operational expertise by working closely with ERS’ Cincinnati-based continuing care retirement communities, Marjorie P. Lee and Deupree House. In her current VP role, she provides strategic and operational leadership across residential healthcare and also serves as corporate risk manager, with oversight and responsibility for all three award-winning ERS continuing care retirement communities.

“Beverly’s selection as board chair of LeadingAge Kentucky reflects the depth of her experience, her steady leadership, and her long-standing commitment to older adults,” said Laura Lamb, president and CEO. “She brings a thoughtful, collaborative approach to leadership and a clear understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing organizations that serve older adults. We are so proud to see her represent ERS and advocate for elders at the state level.”

Beverly is a graduate of ERS’ ASPIRE leadership program, designed to prepare high-potential leaders grow within the organization. She holds a bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration from Jackson State University in Jackson, Mississippi, and an Executive Master of Business Administration from Sullivan University in Louisville, Kentucky.

“I am honored to serve as board chair of LeadingAge Kentucky,” Beverly said. “This organization plays a vital role in supporting providers, strengthening advocacy efforts, and advancing innovation across the continuum of aging services. I look forward to working alongside fellow board members and partners to help ensure older adults across the Commonwealth have access to high-quality care and communities.”

Beverly’s leadership and impact have been widely recognized. Business First Louisville named her one of the “20 People to Know in Aging Services” and selected her for its Forty Under 40 Award. In addition to her professional responsibilities, Beverly has served on the Board of Directors for Children Have Options In Choosing Experiences since 2015. She previously served as fund development chair for two years and currently serves as board secretary. She has been an active member and advocate of LeadingAge Kentucky for several years.
